Grabbing it at the ends and attempting to twist it, it barely flexes, compared to a couple other keyboards here. It also feels noticeably heavier. So, some points here for the construction.I have another slim-line full keyboard that I replaced with this one. Really, the difference was barely noticeable in terms of \"user experience\". The key strokes are smooth, quiet, and short. The key caps are almost flat, compared to my other keyboard whose keys have a slight depression on the cap. Difference in use? Barely noticeable.One that that has been initially annoying is that the Alt - Tab key combo in Windows to open the apps screen doesn't work the same way. That key stroke sequence pops all the open apps up on the screen in small windows and requires using other keys to move around. This keyboard has a key combo that works the same as the regular Alt - Tab combination on a Windows system, but the key is in a different position, next to the Alt key.I tested connecting to my desktop with the accompanying USB bug plugged in. Then I went to bluetooth and was able to quickly connect to my Android phone and an iPad tablet. That is a very handy feature!The slant of the keyboard is not as steep as some keyboards that have extendable feet. Again, not that noticeable.I think this keyboard is a decent value, has above average construction, flexible connectivity, and acceptable feel on the keyboard. I have it now for a week, replacing the Logitech K860 Ergo for my Apple iMac. I wanted a mechanic keyboard that was wireless, but also could work with a cable, for I had a few times that I had to restart my Mac and the Logitech didn't respond. \n\nNow back to the Perixx Periboard-835. It is an almost perfect keyboard. It looks durable, it is quite heavy and the keys have a great response. \n\nAre there things to improve? Yes, why is the keyboard completely backlit, but not the \"F\" function keys. The special functions on the keys are, but not F1, F2 etc themselves. As a developer I think that is quite annoying. \n\nBut in general I am very satisfied with this keyboard. The layout is as it should (maybe a calculator key would have been nice). I have big hands, but the size of the keys is exactly right. \n\nMy first natural keyboard was the first one from Microsoft in 1994. Since then I used quite a lot of keyboards, even a Perixx which I didn't like, but this one is for me a hit. \n\nPS I have made a modification, for I don't like it when I can't lift the keyboard a bit on the front (cable) site. The ones on the handpalm side are for me completely useless. It takes some getting used to, because now there's a FN key and compared to MS the F6 key moved from the right to the left side. This is my biggest issue, because the F-Keys are not lit, so after a few weeks I still have to think when using F-Keys and keep pushing the wrong ones in the dark. It would have been great to have an option to buy F-Key replacement keycaps for those who need F-Keys at work (or at the price of this keyboard, just include them)\n\nFor the firmware and additional software: The software to assist you is windows only. It would be nice to have a Linux option at least to update the firmware. On windows 10, the software failed to recognize the keyboard on my first tries, I only got it to work later.\n\nAlas there's no place inside the keyboard to put the 2,4Ghz dongle. So there's a high risk you'll eventually are going to lose it. I may need to 3d print a box to stick under the keyboard. There's enough space for it. \n\nFinally, the clicky version also has a springy sound after each click which is a bit annoying.
